TV show description:
The original Love Connection TV show, hosted by Chuck Woolery, ran in syndication from 1983 to 1994. In 2017, The Bachelor‘s Mike Fleiss has revived the unscripted dating game show series for FOX, with Andy Cohen hosting.
Each episode of Love Connection features single people searching for love and romance. The program includes the participants or “Singles” explaining to Cohen what they want in a potential “Match,” and why they have had a hard time finding someone, so far.
Cohen plays video introductions of each of the three potential Matches with whom the Single has shared a blind date. The studio audience then votes for the person they think is best suited to the “Single.”
The Single and each potential Match also discuss their dates, while Cohen encourages the wannabe couples to reveal as much as they dare. Eventually, the Single chooses which one of the three he or she would like to take along on a romantic getaway.
In the end, if the Single chooses the same person the audience selected, he or she will receive $10,000.00. If the Single chooses a different partner, he or she then has to decide to either pass on the cash prize and go on the getaway with the original choice, or dump their Match, take the money, and try to make a “Love Connection” with the audience’s pick.
Isn’t it romantic?
Series Finale:
Episode #28, “Be & John”
In this episode, Be Tran, a marketing coordinator from NY, NY, and John Bazzo, a Sales Director from Laguna Beach, CA, hope to make love connections. Unlike Season One, the primary dater doesn’t have to choose between money or love…but if the audience correctly predicts who made a love connection, the dater wins $10,000! (Courtesy of FOX)
First aired: September 18, 2018
