If you’ve been binge-watching Marvel’s Jessica Jones on Netflix, you know who Luke Cage is. Now, word is Cage will be getting his own Netflix series. Recently, Mike Colter (who plays Cage) spoke to TV Guide about what to expect from the upcoming show.
In Jessica Jones, Cage is introduced as a romantic partner for the titular P.I. Soon, we learn his story is wrapped up with her former, mysterious past as a superhero and that he too (spoilers) possesses similar super human abilities.
Colter said the character will be explored even further in the series as he “moves up to Harlem … and becomes a hero for hire.”
Colter then revealed that his move will “change the dynamic completely. … It’ll be a different feel, a different energy.”
In the short term, that likely means less Luke Cage on future episodes of Jessica Jones.
