Is Mad About You coming back or not? Deadline reports Helen Hunt and Paul Reiser have signed on for a revival of the NBC sitcom.
The ’90s sitcom starred Reiser and Hunt as Paul and Jamie Buchman, a newly married couple living in New York City. The show ran seven seasons before ending in 1999.
Rumors have circulated for months of a Mad About You reboot, and now the news has been confirmed. Sony Pictures TV has signed a deal with both Reiser and Hunt to reprise their roles, though a network has yet to be named.
On Ellen, Hunt revealed her and Reiser have been discussing a Mad About You revival for a while:
It’s not for sure yet, I hope it is. I will say, Paul Reiser is in my kitchen a good amount because we’re talking about how to make it and not wreck it, because we’re proud of what we did, so..I hope so.”
