Mad Men, Downton Abbey, and Key & Peele are going out in style. Not only did all three series choose their own end date (i.e. they were not cancelled), but their casts have received “performance by an ensemble” nominations. The Mad Men and Downton Abbey casts have been tapped for the drama series category, while the cast of Key & Peele is nominated for their comedy series.
Mad Men leading man, John Hamm (Don Draper), has also been nominated in the “Performance by a male actor in a drama series” category. Downton Abbey‘s delightful Maggie Smith (Violet Crawley), received a nomination in the “Performance by a female actor in a drama series” category.
SAG’s love of actors from ended series does not stop there. Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie) and Amy Poeher (Parks and Recreation) each got a nod in the “Performance by a female actor in a comedy series” category.
