TV show description:
A sketch comedy program which follows much in the same vein as Saturday Night Live. Although it sports a name and logo with the popular humor magazine, it shares little more than a few related sketches like “Spy vs Spy,” Don Martin cartoons, and images of the magazine’s mascot, Alfred E. Newman.

There have been many different comedians that have cut their teeth on this late-night show, and a few have gone on to bigger things. The show is taped in front of a live audience and also includes musical performances.

Common skits revolve around parodies of popular TV shows, movies, and music, as well as pop culture, political, and topical humor. Recurring sketches and characters include “3 Minute Meals,” the “Coffee Twins,” “Abercrombie & Fitch Employees,” “Bible Dude,” and “Bunifa Latifah Halifah Sharifa Jackson.”
