What’s next for The Magicians? At this year’s NY Comic Con, the cast and creators previewed season two of the Syfy series, TVInsider reports.
Based on the books by Lev Grossman, the supernatural drama follows the students at Brakebills University for students of magical ability. The cast includes Jason Ralph, Stella Maeve, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Hale Appleton, Arjun Gupta, Summer Bishil, Rick Worthy, and Anne Dudek.
During the show’s Comic Con panel, star Olivia Taylor Dudley said Alice and Quentin may be on the rocks for awhile:
When we left them at the end of the season, they’re on a downward spiral. The relationships, some of them have been burned and will be burned for awhile. The relationships take a little longer to deal with.”
Additionally, EP Sera Gamble mentioned there will be more musical numbers in season two:
He’s like, ‘Can we sing more?’ I’m like, ‘Can we talk about rape culture?’ and together we make The Magicians.”
