Major Crimes has a major change in store. Recently, showrunner James Duff spoke with TVLine about the season five return of the TNT series.
The crime drama follows the further investigations of the detectives in the Los Angeles Police Department’s Major Crimes division. The cast includes Mary McDonnell, Tony Denison, GW Bailey, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz, Robert Gossett, Phillip P. Keene, Graham Patrick Martin, Kearran Giovanni, and Jonathan Del Arco. TNT has already renewed the show for a sixth season.
In the interview, Duff expressed concern over TNT’s decision to move the show to Wednesday nights:
This is not the night I would have picked, and this is not the time of year that I would have picked to come back on. … I do believe that we have some experience in locating our viewers, and letting them know where we are. We do keep up a very active social media presence, and we are in communications with our viewers as closely as we can be.
But we are very actively trying to get the message out to people. I do hope that Wednesday night at 9 doesn’t end up being a big problem for us.”
Season five of Major Crimes returns this Wednesday, February 22nd, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
