Making a Murderer premiered on Netflix last month. Could fans of the series see a second season? With Hollywood, it is safe to say anything is possible, and Netflix is definitely open to a second season. Season one told the story of Steven Avery.
According to Variety, Ted Sarandos, the man in charge of original content for Netflix, spoke about the possibility of a second season of Making a Murderer on Netflix, and the streaming service is definitely looking into the possibility.
Moira Demos, one of the women behind the series, also spoke about the series and a second season possibility, at a panel over the weekend.
She said:
“As we said before, in relation to this story, this story is ongoing, these cases are open. It’s real-life so you don’t know what’s going to happen. We are ready…if there are significant developments, we will be there. And we are looking at other stories, as well. As we know from making this series, it’s a huge commitment that we take very seriously and it’s just apparent to us that we would need time to think about what we would [want to do] next.”
