Time has run out for Dan, Deborah, and Chris. The Making History TV show has been cancelled after only one season on FOX.

A time-travel comedy which premiered on FOX in March, Making History starred Adam Pally, Leighton Meester, Yassir Lester, John Gemberling, and Neil Casey.

Making History: A Look at the Ratings

The first season of Making History has averaged a 0.68 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.59 million viewers. The freshman comedy was among the lowest-rated FOX TV shows, in the 2016-17 television season, so the cancellation makes sense.

The defacto series finale –episode nine — airs on May 21st at 8:30pm. Here’s FOX’s description:

Chris’ life is in shambles, so Dan plays the time travel card with Dr. Cobell (guest star Ben Vereen) to help get Chris’ job back, but his efforts go awry when he accidentally gives him a heart attack instead. Meanwhile, Deb hunts down Hancock and Adams to convince them to return to the past in the all-new “Body Trouble” season finale episode of MAKING HISTORY airing Sunday, May 21 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

What do you think? Were you a fan of the Making History TV show? Did you expect FOX to cancel or renew it for a second season?
