What’s This TV Show About?

Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s time-travel comedy, airing on the FOX television network, Making History stars Adam Pally, Leighton Meester, Yassir Lester, John Gemberling, and Neil Casey. Ordinary Dan (Pally) discovers time travel and journeys back to Colonial America, where he’s a real hit. There, he falls in love with Deborah (Meester), who happens to be the daughter of Paul Revere. Dan asks sharp, sophisticated history professor Chris (Lester) to help him correct his 1770s blunders, which could change the outcome of the American Revolution. Can these three friends from two different centuries manage to balance the fun and adventure of time travel with the humdrum responsibilities of their otherwise ordinary lives?

Telly’s Take

The series premiere earned mediocre numbers and the numbers have been dropping. Back in October, the network cut the season one order from 13 episodes to nine. At the time, they said they were in need of fewer episodes to fill their slate. Still, a cut like that is hardly a vote of confidence. This hungry television vulture is watching the ratings and thinks that Making History will soon be history. Subscribe to find out when Making History is cancelled or renewed for season two.
5/11 update: FOX has cancelled Making History after one season. Details here.
