Man Finds Food: Travel Channel Series Renamed Secret Eats with Adam Richman

Man Finds Food

Man finds food. Man changes name of TV show. This week, the Travel Channel announced their series Man Finds Food has been renamed as Secret Eats with Adam Richman.

The docu-series, which premiered in 2015, follows Richman as he searches for rare and unknown culinary specialties across the globe.

In the announcement, Richman explained the reason for the name change:

Sometimes the dish is hidden, sometimes the whole restaurant is a secret. Whatever foods we find will be delicious, unique, and only available to those in the know. I think the title change is a clever, straightforward way to let people know who is in the show and what it’s about, honestly and directly. ‘Secret Eats with Adam Richman’ has got all the amazing flavors you’ve come to expect from my shows, but this time, there is a mouthwatering mystery behind each location.”

Season two of Secret Eats is set to premiere this summer.

NEW YORK (March 16, 2016) – Culinary traveler Adam Richman has trekked from coast to coast and around the globe searching for, and sampling, off-the-grid restaurants and off-the-menu items. Now, to make sure that travelers get the message that some of these places are even hidden to locals, Travel Channel has retitled Richman’s popular series, previously known as “Man Finds Food,” to “Secret Eats with Adam Richman.”

“As we were planning and shooting Season Two, it became more apparent that this series is all about Adam’s enthusiasm and passion for food, and about his love of discovering new places, and sharing with his fans, the special foods he finds,” said Courtney White, senior vice president, programming, Travel Channel. “If you want to find unexpected foods in unexpected places, then Adam is your friend in the know.”

Richman added, “Sometimes the dish is hidden, sometimes the whole restaurant is a secret.

The series will air on Travel Channel in the United States and across Scripps Networks’ international portfolio of channels in more than 100 countries and territories in summer 2016.”
