The Man in the High Castle has found its “man.” Deadline reports Stephen Root has been cast as the title role in the Prime Video series.
Based on the Philip K. Dick novel, the alt-history drama is set in a world where the Axis Powers won World War II. The cast includes Alexa Davalos, Rupert Evans, Luke Kleintank, DJ Qualls, and Rufus Sewell.
Root will play “the mysterious figure tied to the Resistance movement who collects the enigmatic films that seem to depict alternate versions of reality — the ones the Japanese and Nazis want to find and destroy.”
Season two of The Man in the High Castle debuts on December 16th.
