According to E!, Sony Pictures Television is shopping a spin-off of the FOX series which would revolve around son Bud Bundy, as played by David Faustino. No word on if any of the other castmembers would be involved in some way.
Ed O’Neill, Katey Sagal, Christina Applegate and Faustino reunited earlier this week in Hollywood where Sagal was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her star is right next to O’Neill’s. Here’s the ceremony:
At the ceremonies, Sagal said, “We’ve talked about [a reunion] every year, but then there are so many pieces that have to be in alignment that for some reason it never happens… But we love each other. Well, we’re all working now, so it’s hard to find the time!”
The cast did reunite for a special project in 2009.
