According to Deadline, CBS has purchased a new comedy, Married With Roommates, inspired by an article of the same name, from the New York Times. The multi-cam comes from the cancelled Cougar Town‘s co-executive producers Mike Lisbe and Nate Reger.
From Deadline:
[…] Married With Roommates centers on a young, recently married couple in New York City who realize they can’t afford their own place and decide the best option is to start their life together… in an apartment with three roommates. Lisbe and Reger will write the script and executive produce with David Janollari and Storied Media Group’s Dennis Kim and Todd Hoffman. Universal TV, where Janollari is based, is the studio.
File this under: It’s not just a nightmare; it’s a sitcom.
What do you think? Do you like the sound of Married With Roommates, or should we wake you for the next Married… With Children rerun? Do you plan to check it out?
