Marry Me: Sitcom Cancelled by NBC

Marry Me TV show on NBC: canceled, no season twoNBC is breaking up with their freshman sitcom Marry Me. The network has cancelled the comedy series after an abbreviated season.

On the Marry Me sitcom, easy-going Jake (Ken Marino) and high-strung Annie (Casey Wilson) have been together for six years. They’re ready to be married but their road to the altar is anything but smooth. The rest of the cast includes Sarah Wright Olsen, John Gemberling, Tymberlee Hill, and Tim Meadows.

Back on October 14th, the series debuted following The Voice and drew a healthy 2.31 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 7.54 million viewers. In week two, the numbers saw a big dip and then they fell again in weeks three and four. Though there were some temporariy rebounds, Marry Me’s ratings kept inching downward.

Ultimately, the network ended up replacing Marry Me on the schedule before all of the show’s episodes had run. Four installments have yet to air in the US but they have been seen in UK. At this point, it looks doubtful if the network will run them.

What do you think? Do you like the Marry Me sitcom? Would you like to watch the remaining episodes? Would you have watched a second season?
