TV show description:
This sitcom revolves around a couple who’s been together for six years. They’re ready to get married but for some reason, that doesn’t end up being as simple as it should be.

Six years ago, easy-going Jake (Ken Marino) and high-strung Annie (Casey Wilson) bonded over their mutual love of nachos. They’ve been inseparable ever since.

Returning from a romantic two-week island vacation, Jake’s all set to propose. However, before he can ask, Annie lets loose on Jake for his inability to commit. She was expecting him to “put a ring on it” in paradise and now Jake’s perfect proposal is ruined.

Not wanting to spend the next 60 years talking about that mess of a proposal, Jake and Annie decide to hold off on the engagement until they can do it right.

Faced with a string of other unfortunate coincidences, Annie and Jake find themselves destined to be together — whether they can get it together or not.

Their friends and family include Dennah (Sarah Wright), Annie’s friend who’s proud to be single; Jake’s newly-divorced pal Gil (John Gemberling); Annie’s eccentric lesbian next-door neighbor Kay (Tymberlee Hill); and Kevin 1 (Tim Meadows) and Kevin 2 (Dan Bucatinsky) — Annie’s arguing gay dads who named her after the Broadway musical.

Series Finale:
Episode # 18 — Surprise Me
Annie discovers that she was born in Canada and is not a US citizen. As her family and friends help her to revise for a citizenship test, Jake takes over responsibility for planning their wedding.
First aired: May 24, 2015. (released in UK)
