Amy Sherman-Palladino is headed to Amazon. Deadline reports the streaming service has ordered a new pilot from the Gilmore Girls creator titled The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
In addition to Gilmore Girls, Sherman-Palladino created the short-lived FOX comedy The Return of Jezebel James and Bunheads on ABC Family.
A dramedy, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel centers on “a 1950s housewife who decides to be one of the first female standup comics.” The pilot joins four other new pilots ordered by Amazon, including one from Guillermo del Toro.
Netflix’s Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life series is currently in post-production.
