Via a press release, ABC has announced the second season premiere of Marvel’s Agent Carter will be delayed by two weeks. Originally scheduled for January 5th, the two-hour season two debut of Marvel’s Agent Carter has been changed to Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at 9:00pm ET/PT. This change was made, because President Obama is set to give the State of the Union Address on January 12.
The second season of Marvel’s Agent Carter stars Hayley Atwell as SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve) Agent Peggy Carter. In season two, Peggy leaves post-World War II New York City for Los Angeles, and what ABC teases as “her most dangerous assignment yet.” The cast of Marvel’s Agent Carter also includes James D’Arcy as Edwin Jarvis; Enver Gjokaj as Chief Daniel Sousa; Wynn Everett as Whitney Frost; Reggie Austin as Jason Wilkes; and Chad Michael Murray as Chief Jack Thompson.
While fans of Marvel’s Agent Carter might be put off by this last minute delay, from a scheduling point of view, it makes sense. There is no official word yet, on how this will affect ABC’s mid-season premiere date of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.
