Marvel’s Agent Carter: The TV Show’s Cancellation Wasn’t Marvel’s Fault

Why was Marvel’s Agent Carter cancelled? Recently, Marvel TV chief Jeph Loeb spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the cancelled ABC TV series.

Last year, ABC cancelled the show after only two seasons. The drama starred Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, an agent working for the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR) during the post-WWII years. The cast also included James D’Arcy, Chad Michael Murray, Enver Gjokaj, and Shea Whigham.

In the interview, Loeb said the decision to end Agent Carter came from ABC, not Marvel:

We are, at the end of the day, beholden to the network that we’re on. So for all of you Agent Carter fans out there, we didn’t cancel the show.”

What do you think? Did you watch Marvel’s Agent Carter? Do you wish it was still on?
