Marvel’s Iron Fist is coming to Netflix later this year, and the series has added two more to its cast. The last casting update revealed that David Wenham had been cast as Harold Meachum. His two children have now been cast on the series.
Marvel reported that Jessica Stroup and Tom Pelphrey have been cast as Joy and Ward Meachum. They work at Rand Enterprises, and Danny’s return will put their birthright in jeopardy.
Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel Television, spoke about the casting of Stroup and Pelphrey. He said:
“With the terrific addition of the very talented Jessica and Tom, we’ve now brought the entire Meachum family together. While Marvel couldn’t be happier, Danny’s mission just got a lot more complicated. I’m very happy to have Jessica and Tom as our Joy and Ward Meachum.”
Scott Buck revealed that the two characters will have secrets of their own that will be revealed during the series. The casting of the two Meachum children completes the regular cast, which includes Finn Jones as Danny Rand.
