TV show description:
A superhero action-adventure drama, based on the Marvel comics, Marvel’s Iron Fist TV show centers on Danny Rand (Jones). The martial arts superhero drama centers on billionaire martial arts expert Rand, who returns to New York City, 15 years after having gone missing. Rand, aka Iron Fist, is one of Marvel’s Defenders.
As Danny tries to reconnect with his past, he must fight the criminal element corrupting New York City. Fortunately, he has mastered kung-fu and has the ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
Rand was only 10-years-old when the plane he was and his wealthy parents were traveling on crashed in the Himalayas, leaving him the sole survivor. Warrior monks rescued the boy and brought to the city of K’un-Lun where he trained to be a fierce warrior.
When Danny returns to New York City as an adult, he longs to reunite with his family’s dear friends, the Meachums, headed by his late father’s partner Harold Meachum (Wenham), father of Ward ( Pelphrey ) and Joy ( Stroup). Danny expects to take his rightful place at Rand Enterprises, his dad’s chemical and pharmaceutical company, which is now in the Meachums’ hands.
With the help of martial arts expert and dojo owner Colleen Wing (Henwick ), as well as Claire Temple ( Dawson ), the Defenders’ go-to nurse, Danny intends to restore his family legacy by defeating those who threaten it.
