Janet McTeer is coming to Netflix. Recently, the streaming service announced the White Queen star has joined season two of Marvel’s Jessica Jones.
The superhero drama follows Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), a New York City private detective who also has the powers of flight, superhuman strength, and endurance. The cast also includes David Tennant, Mike Colter, Rachel Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, and Wil Travel.
Netflix has not revealed McTeer’s character for season two, but they did mention she “will have an enormous impact on Jessica’s life.” A premiere date for season two has not yet been announced.

LOS ANGELES, April 6, 2017 – Marvel Television and Netflix announced today that Golden Globe(R) winner and two-time Academy Award(R) nominated actress, Janet McTeer (“Tumbleweeds,” “Albert Nobbs,” “Me Before You”), will join the cast of the sophomore season of the Peabody(R) and Emmy(R) Award-winning, “Marvel’s Jessica Jones.” McTeer will play an undisclosed character who will have an enormous impact on Jessica’s life. All 13-episodes of the first season of “Marvel’s Jessica Jones” are now streaming on Netflix.
