Marvel’s Jessica Jones has some new company. Variety reports Leah Gibson has joined season two of the Netflix TV show.
Based on the Marvel comics, the superhero drama follows Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), a New York City private detective who also has the powers of flight, superhuman strength, and endurance. The cast also includes David Tennant, Mike Colter, Rachel Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, and Wil Traval.
On Jessica Jones, Gibson will be playing “Ingrid, who is described as street-wise but who also has an education as a nurse.” Rumor has it that this character could actually be code for the villain Typhoid Mary, who appears in the original comics. Netflix has not confirmed this news.
Season two of Marvel’s Jessica Jones is expected to debut in 2018.
