Being Mary Jane has some new faces. Deadline reports Valarie Pettiford, Ashton Holmes, and Chiké Okonkwo have been cast in season four of the BET series.
The scripted drama centers on Mary Jane (Gabrielle Union), a successful Atlanta-based TV news anchor. The cast also includes Omari Hardwick and Lisa Vidal..
From Deadline:
Pettiform will play Ronda Sales, a veteran anchor at Great Day, USA and Mary Jane’s idol. Holmes will portray Garrett Keswick, Great Day’s producer and showrunner. Okonkwo plays Lee Truitt, a successful stand-up comedian from the UK who tests Mary Jane’s preconceived notions about what (or who) she needs in her life.”
The three join fellow new castmember Michael Ealy. BET has not yet announced a premiere date for season four of Being Mary Jane.
