Master of None: Season Three Talk from Netflix Series Costar

Master of None TV show on Netflix: (canceled or renewed?)

Is Master of None coming back for a third season? Recently, co-creator Alan Yang and star Lena Waithe spoke with TVGuide about the future of the Netflix TV show.

The comedy-drama stars Aziz Ansari as Dev, a man in his early ’30s who is still figuring out what he wants from life. The cast also includes Waithe, Eric Wareheim, Kelvin Yu, and Alessandra Mastronardi.

Season two of Master of None premiered in May, and Netflix still hasn’t announced if there will be another season. Speaking to TVGuide, Lena Waithe said season three may take some time:

I think he approaches it the way you do stand-up comedy. You can’t do a special every year, you gotta go and live life and then circle back. I think for him and [co-creator] Alan [Yang], they want to make sure they’ve got enough material to do a Season 3. We don’t want to come back and not be swinging.”

Co-creator Alan Yang echoed Waithe’s statement, saying there will be a third season if there are enough ideas:

Aziz and I are always texting ideas, but we don’t know. We only want to do it if it’s something we’re really excited about. Same thing with Season 2, where we didn’t want to do the season unless we had something to say and something that we were really interested in and passionate about. I think the same will hold true with this one, and if this is it then this is it. But you never know.”

What do you think? Do you watch Master of None? Do you want another season?
