On MasterChef Junior, cooks between the ages of eight and 13 are given the opportunity to showcase their culinary talents and win a large cash prize. Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich, and Graham Elliot serve as judges and mentors.

The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
