Dunham isn’t done with HBO just yet.
According to Variety, the premium cable network has committed to a new pilot from the Girls creator and star that revolves around feminism and the 1960s magazine industry.
Titled Max, the half-hour comedy takes place in 1963 and will follow an “ambitious magazine writer who stumbles her way into the women’s movement.” It is rumored that Lisa Joyce will star in the lead role.
Girls writer/executive producer Murray Miller wrote the pilot and Dunham is set to direct.
