Kerry Washington is working behind the scenes on her newest project. Deadline reports ABC is developing a new series with the Scandal star called Melting Potts.
Written by Ryan Jaffe, the comedy “centers on a blended family made up of equal parts Indian, Muslim, Jewish, and New Jersey. It is about a newly married couple struggling against culture, tradition and generations to build their idea of a “normal” American family.”
Washington’s production company, Simpson Street, will produce alongside ABC Studios.
