The team of agents at the bureau often find his techniques odd and unorthodox but his insights usually result in successfully tricking criminals into confessing. They’re played by Robin Tunney, Tim Kang, Owain Yeoman, and Amanda Righetti.
In season two of The Mentalist, Jane continues to use his talents to solve the most baffling crimes. Lisbon (Tunney) and Cho (Kang) reveal hints about their troubled pasts. Violence fells one CBI boss, and the new boss seems more interested in authority than teamwork. Finally, as the Van Pelt (Righetti) and Rigsby (Yeoman) relationship heats up, it threatens to cool down their careers.
Season two of The Mentalist has just been released and the DVD set includes all 23 action-packed episodes on five discs. Special features include Mentalism: A Subliminal Art (real life mentalist Luke Jermay interacts with the cast and creators and reveals actual techniques the show explores), The Art of The Mentalist (executive producer Chris Long joins Jermay to explore how mentalism’s subliminal art is woven into the series via an analysis of the season opener, Redemption), and Lost Evidence (unaired scenes from five key episodes).
