The Mick: Season Two Ratings

The Mick TV show on FOX: season 2 ratings (canceled or season 3 renewal?)

FOX premiered three new comedies last season, renewed The Mick and cancelled the other two. Although its total audience size landed in the bottom half of the network’s 2016-17 series, The Mick TV show’s 18-49 demo ratings were a top-ten performer and are likely why it was the sole surviving newbie sitcom. Can it build up its audience in the second season? Will The Mick be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.

From creators Dave Chernin and John Chernin, The Mick stars Kaitlin Olson, Sofia Black-D’Elia, Thomas Barbusca, Jack Stanton, Carla Jimenez, and Scott MacArthur. In the first season on FOX, grifter Mickey (Olson) was left to care for her sister’s spoiled little rich kids in affluent Greenwich, Connecticut. Season two finds Mickey in it for the long haul. She gets by with a little help from her sorta boyfriend, Jimmy (MacArthur), and Alba (Jimenez), the family’s live-in housekeeper. Mickey is determined to make it through the tough times or black out. **Status update below.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

4/4 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.

For comparisons: The first season of The Mick on FOX averaged a 1.10 rating in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic and a total audience of 2.959 million viewers.

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
