Amid controversy, Adult Swim has decided to cancel the TV series Million Dollar Extreme after one season, Splitsider reports.
The sketch comedy series, which debuted its first season in August, has been criticized for its promotion of alt-right ideals.
A recent Buzzfeed article revealed there was significant opposition to the series from the Adult Swim staff. The creators of the show allegedly put in “coded racist messages in the show, including swastikas,” which were later removed before air.
The cancellation comes at a challenging time for Adult Swim. Earlier, comedian Brett Gelman announced he was cutting ties with the network due to their lack of female creators.
What do you think? Have you seen Million Dollar Extreme? Do you think it should’ve been cancelled?
