Dr. Mindy Lahiri is getting some new company. Deadline reports Bryan Greenberg (pictured) and Rebecca Rittenhouse will guest star in season five of The Mindy Project.
The Hulu comedy follows the personal and professional ups and downs of Dr. Mindy Lahiri (Mindy Kaling), an OB-GYN living in New York City. The cast also includes Ike Barinholtz, Ed Weeks, Chris Messina, and Xosha Roquemore.
In season five, Greenberg will play “Ben, the new pediatric nurse forced to deal with Mindy and her child’s ever changing illnesses.” Meanwhile, Rittenhouse has been cast as “Anna, a young, put-together but slightly evil doctor in the office who becomes a new foil for Mindy.”
The two join fellow season five guest stars Bill Hader, BJ Novak, and Nasim Pedrad. The new season of The Mindy Project debuts this October.
