Some new stars are coming to Modern Family. Variety reports Nathan Fillion and Martin Short will appear in season eight of the ABC series.
Previously, Fillion starred in the recently cancelled ABC drama Castle. Short last appeared in the NBC variety series Maya & Marty.
In season eight, Fillion will play “Rainer Shine, a local weatherman who becomes entangled with the Dunphy family.” Meanwhile, Short will guest star as “promotional maven Merv Schechter.”
Season eight of Modern Family premieres on September 21st.
