Will Mom return for another season? Deadline reports CBS is close to renewing the TV series for a fifth season.
The sitcom centers on Christy (Anna Faris), a single mom in recovery who’s returned to live with her single mother, Bonnie (Allison Janney), who’s also in recovery. The cast also includes Sadie Calvano, Blake Garrett Rosenthal, Matt Jones, Mimi Kennedy, Jaime Pressly, and Beth Hall.
Mom is currently in its fourth season. And while ratings have declined somewhat, the comedy remains a consistent performer for CBS. So far, season four is averaging a 1.45 rating in the 18-49 demo and 7.554 million viewers. For comparison, season three averaged a 1.69 rating in the 18-49 demo and 7.91 million viewers.
Deadline says fans should expect a season five renewal announcement soon from CBS.
