Justine Lupe is in high demand. Deadline reports the Cristela star has joined FX’s upcoming series Snowfall and AT&T Audience Network’s new show Mr. Mercedes.
Based on the book by Stephen King, Mr. Mercedes follows a retired police detective’s search for a deranged killer. Meanwhile, Snowfall will explore “the infancy of the crack cocaine epidemic and its ultimate radical impact on the culture as we know it.”
On Mr. Mercedes, Lupe will play “Holly Gibney, the younger cousin of Janey and Olivia who has some “issues”: OCD, synesthesia, sensory processing disorder. But she’s also terribly observant, refreshingly unfiltered and unaware of her innocence, which is oddly endearing.” She joins fellow castmembers Harry Treadaway, Brendan Gleeson, Mary-Louise Parker, Holland Taylor, Kelly Lynch, and Jharrel Jerome.
Lupe has been cast as Victoria on Snowfall. The character finds herself in over her head when she comes to Los Angeles looking for her missing sister.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Justine Lupe? Will you watch Mr. Mercedes and/or Snowfall?
