Mr. Robot: Season Two Ratings

Mr Robot TV show on USA Network: ratings (cancel or renew for season 3?)With a title like Mr. Robot, some television viewers had pretty low expectations for the USA Network series last summer. It ended up being one of the most talked about shows of the summer. Will the ratings soar in season two or will they disappoint? Could it be cancelled? Stay tuned.

Mr. Robot follows a young programmer (Rami Malek) who finds himself at a crossroad. The mysterious leader (Christian Slater) of an underground hacker group recruits him to destroy the corrupt and dangerous firm he’s being paid to protect. The rest of the cast includes Michael Cristofer, Stephanie Corneliussen, Grace Gummer, Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, and Martin Wallström.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

8/16 update: USA Network has renewed Mr. Robot for a third season. Details here.

For comparisons: The first season of Mr. Robot averaged a 0.48 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.39 million viewers.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
