Mr. Robot: Season Three Delayed Until October; Bobby Cannavale Joins USA Drama

Deadline reports the Mr. Robot TV show’s season three premiere has been delayed until October of 2017 on USA Network. The first two seasons debuted in July. Bobby Cannavale, late of HBO‘s cancelled TV series, Vinyl, is joining the third season. Additionally, BD Wong has been promoted to a series regular role.

Airing on the USA Network, Mr. Robot follows Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek), a cyber-security engineer who became involved in the underground hacker group fsociety after being recruited by their mysterious leader (Christian Slater), who he later discovered to be the projection of his dead father. The cast also includes Carly Chaikin, Portia Doubleday, Martin Wallström, Michael Cristofer, Stephanie Corneliussen, and Grace Gummer.

Mr. Robot EP and scribe Esmail will also direct all 10 episodes, which was the case in season 2.

And adding Bobby Cannavale and BD Wong to our cast makes one of the tightest acting ensembles even stronger,” said Jeff Wachtel, Chief Content Officer, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment.
