Muppet Babies: Disney Junior Eyeing an Animated Series Reboot?

Muppet Babies TV show on CBS

Is Muppet Babies coming back? ToughPigs.com reports Disney Junior is rebooting the animated series.

Created by Jim Henson, the original CBS show followed child versions of the Muppets, who all lived in a nursery run by a human woman. The series ran from 1984 to 1991.

According to Tough Pigs, Disney Junior is in pre-production for a Muppet Babies reboot that will feature CG animation and a new voice cast. The characters included are Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Animal, and new characters Bobbi Babba (a sheep) and Miss Nanny.

Disney Junior has not yet officially confirmed the revival series.
