Murphy Brown has some new company. Deadline reports Adan Rocha has joined the upcoming CBS series reboot.
A revival of the popular sitcom, the new season will see the return of Candice Bergen as the titular Murphy Brown, a recovering alcoholic and investigative journalist who returns to host a cable news program. The cast also includes Faith Ford, Joe Regalbuto, Grant Shaud, Tyne Daly, Jake McDorman, and Nik Dodani.
On Murphy Brown, Rocha will be playing “Miguel, a Mexican Dreamer who came to the United States at the age of one. Now he’s a college student working at Phil’s Bar alongside Phyllis (Daly) for extra money to put toward tuition.”
Murphy Brown premieres on CBS on September 27th at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT.
