NASHVILLE – February 1, 2018 – CMT today unveiled the first-look at its forthcoming new docu-series, “Music City,” premiering Thursday, March 1 at 10pm ET/PT, from famed executive producer Adam DiVello, creator of “The Hills” and “Laguna Beach.”

“Music City” documents the lives of five central characters – Kerry, Rachyl, Jessica, Jackson, and Alisa – as they chase their dreams of music, success, fame, and romance in Nashville. Entering the next chapter of their lives, they’re faced with real choices that carry real stakes for their careers, their relationships, and their futures, as they navigate the rocky road on the journey of self-discovery.

In the first-look clip available here, husband and wife, Kerry and Rachyl, struggle with balancing his touring schedule, which often leaves her alone in Nashville caring for their young son. Singer-songwriter Jessica is set up on a blind date with Jackson, a personal trainer born and bred in Nashville, with Southern charm and looks to kill. Working musician Bryant pushes Alisa to start following through on her dreams of becoming a singer/songwriter.

The news comes on the heels of a ratings milestone to kick-off the new year. Propelled by new episodes of “Nashville,” “Hot 20 Countdown,” a simulcast of the hit Paramount Network limited-run series, “Waco,” and strong performing acquisitions and movie titles, January 2018 now ranks as CMT’s highest-rated month in over three years, and marked the 14th consecutive month of year-over-year ratings growth among Adults 18-49 and Women 18-49. Last quarter, CMT generated the highest year-over-year gains of any Top 50 ad-supported entertainment cable channel among Women 18-49. (Total Day, L+SD)

“Music City” is produced by Done and Done Productions in association with Lionsgate. Adam DiVello serves as creator and executive producer.”
