Mysteries & Scandals is coming soon! The new series will look at infamous crimes, and it will be hosted by Soledad O’Brien.

“Oxygen Media, the new destination for high-quality crime programming, debuts the Wilshire Studios production of Mysteries & Scandals, hosted and executive produced by Emmy® and Peabody Award winner Soledad O’Brien, beginning Friday, January 5 at 9pm ET/PT. The 13 episode, hour-long series investigates some of the most legendary and intriguing crimes, murders, and scandals that shook the nation and impacted pop culture through vivid first-hand accounts, re-enactments and archival footage. Power, fame, infamy, envy, obsession and betrayal provide the framework for headlines of the recent past.
“What an amazing opportunity to work with Oxygen on Mysteries & Scandals, reliving and retelling some of the biggest stories that captured national headlines,” said Soledad O’Brien. “Through never before seen interviews and meticulous fact-finding, we give viewers a fresh perspective.”
The series will feature notorious true crime stories with O’Brien pulling back the curtain on a wide range of shocking cases, giving viewers exclusive access to family members, friends, witnesses, detectives and jury members directly impacted and involved in each circumstance. She’ll explore celebrity tragedies such as Bobbi Kristina Brown and Whitney Houston’s disturbing parallel deaths, the mysterious demise of both Michael Jackson and Anna Nicole Smith and the crimes and punishment of O.J. Simpson. Additionally, Soledad will take a deep dive into the Wonderland Murders, notorious serial killers of the ‘80s such as Richard Ramirez and Aileen Wuornos, the odd and captivating Slenderman Attacks, and more.
Soledad O’Brien is an award-winning journalist, speaker, author and philanthropist. O’Brien’s coverage of race issues won her two Emmy awards and she earned a third for her reporting on the 2012 presidential election. Her coverage of Hurricane Katrina for CNN earned her and the network a George Foster Peabody Award. She also won the Peabody for her coverage of the BP Gulf Coast Oil Spill, and her reporting on the Southeast Asia tsunami garnered CNN an Alfred I. DuPont Award.
