Nashville: Cancelled Quickly or a Big Hit?

Last season’s Revenge wasn’t a big hit in the ratings but escaped being cancelled in the Wednesdays at 10pm timeslot. Will this season’s Nashville fare any better for ABC? Will it garner big ratings or will it be quickly cancelled instead — like CBS’ Made in Jersey? Perhaps a moderate success instead?

Nashville takes a behind the scenes look at the world of country music. One singing star (Connie Britton) is seeing her popularity decline and is struggling to adapt to a new age while an up-and-comer (Hayden Panettiere) is learning to understand the life of a celebrity. The cast of this new ABC drama also includes Powers Boothe, Charles Esten, Eric Close, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio, Robert Wisdom, and Judith Hoag.

The show airs on Wednesday nights at 10pm, running opposite CSI on CBS and Chicago Fire on NBC.
