Nashville has some new company. Deadline reports Rachel Bilson and Kaitlin Doubleday have joined season five of the CMT TV series.
The country music drama just aired its midseason finale last night, March 9th. The episode comes only a few weeks after a major character left the series. The cast includes Hayden Panettiere, Charles Esten, Clare Bowen, Sam Palladio, Chris Carmack, Jonathan Jackson, Lennon Stella, and Maisy Stella.
Both Bilson and Doubleday’s character details are being kept under wraps, but it’s been reported they will both play major characters related to Rayna James’ (Connie Britton) record label and the Bluebird Café.
Showrunner Marshall Herskovitz promised the second half of season five, which returns to CMT this summer, will see many twists and turns:
