Nashville fans have only one more month to wait for the premiere of season five on CMT. The drama is leaving ABC behind, and it is also leaving behind the over-the-top soap opera stories, according to the creator of the series.
USA Today shared the latest comments made by Callie Khouri about the upcoming season of Nashville. She said the following:
“We’re staying away from the ‘that would never happen’ stuff. It is a lot more grounded in character. We’re telling stories about characters that we love. I think it’s more emotional, less soap opera, but it’s still delivering dramatic stories.”
Khouri did not reveal the direction of season five, but fans will learn what happened to Juliette on the premiere.
