New Girl saw a reunion from The OC of sorts. Peter Gallagher appeared as Max Greenfield’s father on this week’s episode, and the two worked together in the past, according to People Magazine.
Greenfield appeared on The OC as the younger version of Sandy Cohen, Gallagher’s character on the series.
Greenfield wasn’t even aware of Gallagher’s casting on New Girl until he saw it mentioned on social media. The actor asked the Gallagher for some fatherly advice on set. He asked him how to keep his hair. Gallagher joked to “not have big thoughts.”
