From Pop:

LOS ANGELES – March 2, 2017 – Production is underway in Manhattan on season two of NIGHTCAP, Pop’s irreverent workplace comedy that pokes fun at late night television with a hilarious ensemble cast and cameos from an A-list line-up of stars. From global content leader Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B) (“Orange is the New Black,” “Casual,” “The Royals”), with executive producers Ali Wentworth, Tom Brunelle and Brad Wollack (“Chelsea Lately”), NIGHTCAP season two premieres Wednesday, June 7 at 8:00 PM, ET/PT and will feature 10 half-hour episodes.

Ali Wentworth (“In Living Color,” “Office Space”) is back as Staci, a frenetic talent booker at the fictitious talk show “Nightcap with Jimmy,” where staff dysfunction and antics reign supreme behind-the-scenes of a late-night set.

“I’m very excited to start shooting season two of NIGHTCAP mostly because I cast everyone I’ve always wanted to make out with,” said Wentworth.

“With Ali, Tom and Brad’s magic touch, we’ll get to know more about the characters in season two and meet some new ones who’ll stir it up even more at NIGHTCAP. The celebrity pool of guests is top-notch, too,” said Justin Rosenblatt, Executive Vice President, Original Programming, Pop.

Guest stars for season one of NIGHTCAP featured an eclectic line-up of film and television luminaries: Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Jessica Parker, Paul Rudd, Kelly Ripa, Debra Messing, Whoopi Goldberg, George Stephanopoulos, Denis Leary, Michael J. Fox, Mario Batali, Wendy Williams, Nate Berkus, Jason Biggs, Andy Cohen, Mark Cuban, Mark Consuelos, Jim Gaffigan, Janeane Garofalo, GiGi Gorgeous, Tim Gunn, Mariska Hargitay, Stephanie March, Jim Norton, Rosie Perez, Joel Schumacher and Beth Stern.

This season, Jason Tottenham (“House of Cards,” “Quantico”) joins the cast as Davis, a cool, unflappable talent consultant and “fresh pair of eyes” brought in by the network to help Staci bring “Nightcap with Jimmy” to the next level. Returning cast members include Lauren Blumenfeld (“Doubt”) as Penny, Staci’s loyal-to-a-fault assistant, and Don Fanelli (“Orange Is the New Black,” “30 Rock”) as Todd, an unofficial producer/writer who also happens to be Jimmy’s childhood best friend. Additionally, the upcoming season will feature Brendan Clifford as Grady, Karl Gregory as Marcus, Jeff Hiller as Phil, Ashley Park as Olivia, Cherie Corinne Rice as Malik and Jacob Wallach as Randy.

NIGHTCAP is produced by Lionsgate Television, Dakota Pictures and Trout the Dog Productions. Wentworth, Tom Brunelle (“Chelsea Lately,” “After Lately”) and Brad Wollack (“Chelsea Lately”) of Free 90 Media; Troy Miller (Lionsgate Television’s “Deadbeat,” “Flight of the Conchords”); and Lydia Tenaglia, Chris Collins and Craig Shepherd of Zero Point Zero Production serve as executive producers.”
