Bottoms up! Upon learning The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore had been cancelled after two seasons on Comedy Central, Wilmore’s friend and former Daily Show colleague Samantha Bee sent the cast and crew three cases of wine, from her TBS late-night TV series, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. Check out a photo, below and the shows’ social media exchanges, below.

During Tuesday’s episode, Wilmore credited Bee for the gift saying, ““Oh, man. We had so many plans for tonight. We were going to write this big, fun show, right? But you know, kind of due to the general ennui of just being canceled, general laziness, and the fact that Sam Bee sent us like three cases of wine… I have already started drinking. You may seen me full frontal out on the street later.”

The Nightly Show‘s official Instagram account posted a picture of Wilmore surrounded by wine and included a copy of the note from the Full Frontal gang, which reads: “In honor of all your great work! We love you! Your friends at Team Bee.”

The Nightly Show‘s caption reads, “Thanks for the cases of wine Jo Miller, @iamsambee and everyone at Full Frontal. We love you too!.”

From his personal Twitter account, Wilmore echoed the thanks, writing, “Thanks for the cases of wine Jo Miller, @iamsambee and everyone at Full Frontal. We love you too! instagram.com/p/BJLxb5gBwdN/.”

The Full Frontal Twitter replied, “Thanks for keeping it 💯 !”

What do you think? Are you upset about the cancellation? Do you think Comedy Central should have cancelled or renewed The Nightly Show for a third season?
