Did you watch long-running FX drama, Nip/Tuck? If you have been missing the graphic, plastic surgery sudser since it was cancelled in 2010, you might be in luck. Creator Ryan Murphy is mulling over a revival of the series. During the “Ryan Murphy and Friends” panel at Entertainment Weekly‘s EW Fest, Murphy suggested bringing back the series with new writers and recasting the main characters with two female leads.
The original series ran for 100 episodes and starred Dylan Walsh as Dr. Sean McNamara and Julian McMahon as Dr. Christian Troy. Joely Richardson and John Hensley rounded out the main cast for all six seasons. Roma Maffia, Kelly Carlson, Jessalyn Gilsig, and Bruno Campos also starred. Kelsey Batelaan and Linda Klein recurred for the run of Nip/Tuck.
From EW.com:
…Murphy wouldn’t be interested in writing it so much as “grandfathering” the show back to existence. “I would get cool writers to do it,” he said, “and I think I would redo that show now with two women.”
…A revival would be a good opportunity for Murphy to revisit what he misses most about the FX series — the cases. “I loved the weird cases-of-the-week that were 99.9 percent of the time based on a real stuff. I love that. I miss that.”
