Is The Odd Couple gone for good? Recently, star Matthew Perry revealed he’s pretty certain the CBS TV series has been cancelled.
Based on the play by Neil Simon, the sitcom follows two unlikely roommates—endearing slob Oscar Madison (Matthew Perry) and uptight neat freak Felix Unger (Thomas Lennon). The cast also includes Lindsay Sloane, Wendell Pierce, and Yvette Nicole Brown.
Season three of The Odd Couple ended in January after CBS opted not to order more episodes. The decision heavily suggested the series was headed towards cancellation, and now Perry has confirmed “it’s safe to assume” that’s what has happened:
My face on the Odd Couple stage door has been painted over with green paint.I think it's safe to assume that we have been cancelled.#subtle

While CBS has not officially announced a cancellation, it would not be a surprise. Season three of The Odd Couple didn’t perform well in the ratings. Overall, the season averaged a 1.02 rating in the 18-49 demo and 4.994 million viewers.
What do you think? Did you watch The Odd Couple? Are you sad it’s not returning?
