Will One Day at a Time be back for another season? According to TVLine, fans should expect a season two renewal from Netflix in the near future.

Based on the Norman Lear sitcom, the comedy centers on a Cuban-American family. The cast includes Justina Machado, Rita Moreno, Isabella Gomez, Marcel Ruiz, Todd Grinnell, and Stephen Tobolowsky. The show’s first season debuted on January 6th, 2017.

According to TVLine’s Michael Ausiello, there will be a season two renewal announcement from Netflix very soon:

Question: I decided to start the One Day at a Time reboot and became immediately obsessed. Any word from Netflix about a second season? —Eric
Ausiello: It hasn’t been made official yet but, yes, there will be a second season. My guess is it’ll be announced within the next two weeks.

Question: Should fans of Netflix’s One Day at a Time be worried about its renewal chances? I feel like Netflix is usually quick about renewals. —Jared
Ausiello: Netflix doesn’t play by traditional TV rules when it comes to renewals (or even cancellations for that matter). But as I’ve said before, One Day at a Time will be back for a second season. In fact, I’d wager a ten-spot that we’ll hear about a pickup before the next Ask Ausiello drops. (And no, I would never delay an AA column just to be proven right. How dare you.)”

What do you think? Have you seen One Day at a Time? Do you want a second season?
